WHAT YOU'LL DO

1. Staff Supervision:

  • Assigning duty rosters for Front Office, Housekeeping, and Night Audit teams.
  • Ensuring staff maintain a neat appearance and correct attitude.
  • Providing instructions and solutions to the team.

2. Guest Service:

  • Engaging with guests individually, actively addressing their requests and concerns.
  • Maintaining data integrity in line with regulations and company policy.
  • Handling check-ins and check-outs, resolving guest complaints promptly.

3. Oversight of Night Auditors:

  • Ensuring night procedures are maintained according to company standards.
  • Managing incidents occurring at night until resolution.

4. Supervision of Housekeepers:

  • Providing oversight and guidance to the Housekeeping team.
  • Ensuring high cleanliness and maintenance standards.

5. Supervision of Front Desk:

  • Providing oversight and guidance to the Front Desk team.
  • Ensuring smooth operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries.

6. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhering to revenue handling processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Maintaining staff performance standards through proper management.
  • Handling HR matters and disciplinary procedures.
    • Note: The responsibilities and duties outlined above may be subject to change as the needs of the hotel evolve.

Working Schedule:

  • Rotational day shifts, including weekends.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience in the hotel industry with a strong knowledge of Cape Town.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to enhance service standards throughout the operation.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding guest service and effective time management.
  • Ability to organize, plan ahead, and manage workload efficiently.
  • A collaborative and self-driven individual who can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team of staff members.
  • Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically using Google and Internet applications.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanour in all situations.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to find solutions when challenges arise.
