As we embark on a new chapter with the addition of this hotel, we're seeking a dynamic Building Manager to play a pivotal role in overseeing and maintaining the physical aspects of our property, ensuring a flawless experience for every guest and team member.

As a Building Manager, you will be the driving force behind the upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operational functionality of the hotel's physical infrastructure. This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level professional who excels in facility maintenance, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is eager to grow their career in the hospitality industry.

You'd be an excellent fit for this role if you have :

  • Experience in building and/or maintenance management or a related field, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural).
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective organisational and project management abilities.
  • Flexibility to respond to after-hours emergencies.
  • Relevant certification in facility management is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Your primary duties involve:

  • Building Maintenance and Upkeep: Oversee and ensure the routine and preventive maintenance of the hotel’s physical infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and structural elements.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure the hotel’s adherence to health and safety standards, building codes, and legal regulations.
  • Emergency Response: Be on-call for any facilities-related emergencies, providing swift and effective solutions.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with the hotel’s operational team to ensure minimal disruption to guests during maintenance activities.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Implement and monitor environmentally sustainable practices in facility management.
  • Project Management: Oversee and manage any facilities-related projects, from inception to completion, ensuring they meet time and budget constraints.
